BackStopp Data Loss Prevention
BackStopp is a simple but powerful tool to help an organisation protect its mobile data in the event of the loss or theft of a laptop or other mobile computer.
As soon as you realise your device is lost or stolen simply login to the BackStopp Web Console and decommission your device.
BackStopp allows the owner of a stolen or lost mobile computer to remotely destroy all data stored on the device. Data is destroyed using US Department of Defence Standards (US DoD 5220-22.M) ensuring that deleted data cannot be recovered.
Many Laptop manufactures now fit a discreet button webcam to the lid of their laptops. BackStopp provides the facility to remotely enable this camera when the device has been lost or stolen. Any images taken by the camera are automatically transmitted back to the BackStopp console and included in a Decommission Report.
